   Ontario’s Wells Regulation (O. Reg. 903) requires:

• Municipal permits for construction
• Proper setbacks from septic systems (at least 15 metres)
• A filed Well Record with the province

3. Drilling and Construction
   Specialized equipment drills the well, installs protective casing, and adds features like sanitary seals. In northeast Milton’s clay-heavy soils or Halton Hills’ rocky areas, this process varies slightly.

4. Testing and Activation
   Before use, your new water well needs:

• Water quality testing for bacteria/nitrates
• Flow rate measurements
